The Social Security is the Spanish Government’s protection system for its citizens. Through a series of social and economic services, it covers the common needs of society.
Its functions as an entity include, among many others, administering the public funds made available to it by the State, granting different subsidies and benefits, and establishing internal control mechanisms to guarantee compliance with current law and reporting its economic management to the Court of Auditors.
Managing Bodies
Babel has been working together with the management entities and development centres in all these areas:
Providing solutions in the membership and collection IT systems of the General Social Security Treasury Development Centre, exercising financial control over employee contributions and company collection.
Responsible for benefit management at the National Institute of Social Security and Social Navy Institute Development Centres, participating in all process activities, including: collection, processing, resolution, payroll.
Producing applications in the General Social Security Audit Office Development Centre for critical activities such as Management of the Budget Accounting Cycle, Processing of the Annual Accounts and Economic-Financial Information of the System, and Management of Public Audits and Subsidies.

Modernisation
Modernisation should simply involve doing things better than before. In an analysis that helps summarise this, there are two mainstays: processes and technology. Ultimately, modernising involves changing the working culture from these two viewpoints in a harmonised, result-oriented manner.
